New U.S. Customs Policy: Duty Prepayment & Adjustment
Following a U.S. Executive Order, significant changes have been made to international trade regulations. Specifically, the "de minimis" exemption which previously allowed goods valued under $800 to enter the United States duty free has been removed. Consequently, all imported items, regardless of their declared value, are now subject to mandatory customs duties, taxes, and federal fees.
Shipping & Duty Payment Options
Economy International Airmail / Standard International Airmail / Express Mail Service (Japan Post)
A "Prepaid Duty" fee is applied at checkout. Your package will be delivered directly with no further action required. Due to complex manual processing, please allow an additional 1-2 weeks for handling.
FedEx DDP (Delivered Duty Paid)
A "Prepaid Duty" fee is applied at checkout. All duties and taxes are calculated and settled in advance for a smoother delivery process.
FedEx DAP (Delivered At Place)
Prepaid Duty is not required. Duties, taxes, and fees will be collected by FedEx upon arrival.
Why the Change?
This adjustment is mandatory for all shipping into the United States. While we understand these additional costs and processing times are a departure from the previous "duty-free" experience, these steps are necessary to comply with federal law and ensure your items clear customs without being seized or returned.
We recommend selecting the shipping method that best suits your preference for duty payment and delivery timeline.
