This gel ink ballpoint pen uses new ink that uses a new technology bead-pack pigment, allowing you to write darker letters that have been proven to be more memorable.

Unlike ordinary gel inks, the newly developed ink for "uni-ball one" uses a new pigment that minimizes the penetration of the coloring material into the paper fibers. The pigment used in "uni-ball one ink" is a proprietary bead-pack pigment that confines conventional coloring materials inside particles. By confining the pigment that becomes the coloring material of the ink inside the particles and increasing the particle size, the penetration of the coloring material into the paper surface is minimized. This allows the coloring material on the paper surface to develop its original color, making blacks darker and colors more vivid.

Conventional quick-drying inks achieve quick drying by quickly penetrating the paper surface. This can lead to ink bleeding or bleed-through. However, the newly developed "Uni-ball One Ink" changes the solid to liquid component ratio in the ink, allowing the liquid component to quickly penetrate the paper surface while leaving the solid coloring material on the paper surface. Although it is a quick-drying ink that quickly penetrates the paper surface, it prevents the coloring material from being absorbed by the paper surface, so it does not bleed or bleed-through.
