Sulley (サリー), whose full name is James P. "Sulley" Sullivan, is a character created by Pixar for the 2001 film Monsters, Inc. He is a large, cyan-furred monster with purple spots, small horns, and sharp fangs. Despite his intimidating appearance and reputation as one of the company's top scarers, Sulley is naturally gentle, warmhearted, and loyal. After accidentally befriending a human toddler named Boo, he risks his career to protect her and discovers that children's laughter can generate far more energy than their screams. This discovery ultimately helps transform the monster world's energy industry, and Sulley eventually becomes CEO of Monsters, Inc., working alongside his best friend, Mike Wazowski.
