Winnie the Pooh (くまのプーさん) is a fictional teddy bear created by author A. A. Milne, first appearing in the 1926 book Winnie-the-Pooh. Inspired by his son Christopher Robin Milne's teddy bear, Pooh is a gentle, easygoing bear who lives in the Hundred Acre Wood. In Disney's adaptation, he is depicted with golden-yellow fur and a red shirt. Humble, kind, and somewhat absent-minded, Pooh is especially fond of honey and enjoys spending time with his friends, including Christopher Robin and Piglet. Though his understanding of the world is often simple, he frequently expresses surprisingly thoughtful observations and wisdom in his polite, innocent, and distinctive manner of speech.
