Pinocchio

Pinocchio

Pinocchio (ピノキオ) is a living wooden puppet carved by the woodcarver Geppetto in a small Italian village. His name derives from the Italian word pinocchio, associated with a pine nut or pine cone. He has a slender wooden body and a distinctive nose that grows whenever he lies. Initially naive, mischievous, and easily led astray by figures such as Honest John and Gideon, Pinocchio nevertheless has a deep love for his father. Driven by his desire to become a real human boy, he must resist temptation and learn to be brave, truthful, and unselfish.
