Mimikyu (ミミッキュ), introduced in Generation VII, is a Ghost/Fairy-type Pokémon that disguises itself beneath a crudely drawn Pikachu-like rag to conceal its frightening true appearance. According to Pokédex lore, those who see its true form may suffer mysterious illness. Lonely and longing for companionship, Mimikyu imitates Pikachu in hopes of being loved and accepted. Its signature Disguise ability allows it to evade damage from one damaging attack before its disguise is broken.
