Hattifatteners (ニョロニョロ) are mysterious, silent creatures created by Finnish author Tove Jansson. They resemble tall, white, faceless figures with short arms and travel in large groups. Driven by an irresistible urge to wander toward the horizon, they rarely interact with others and communicate little, if at all. During thunderstorms, they become highly charged with electricity, causing them to glow and making them potentially dangerous to anyone nearby.
