Gudetama (ぐでたま), known as the "lazy egg", is a Sanrio character created by designer Amy in 2013. Named from the Japanese words gudegude (sluggish) and tamago (egg), Gudetama is a gender-unspecified raw egg yolk with a droopy expression and perpetually tired demeanor. Famous for its apathy and lack of ambition, Gudetama communicates through short, reluctant remarks and prefers resting under a cozy bacon blanket rather than exerting any effort.
