Charmander

Charmander (ヒトカゲ Hitokage) is a Fire-type Starter Pokémon designed by Atsuko Nishida for the 1996 Pokémon Red and Blue games. Its English name combines "char" and "salamander." This small, bipedal, orange lizard-like Pokémon has a cream-colored belly and a distinctive flame burning at the tip of its tail, which reflects its vitality and can respond to its emotional state. Charmander is often portrayed as brave and eager to battle, forming strong bonds with Trainers while using Fire-type moves such as Ember and Flamethrower. With experience, it can evolve into Charmeleon and eventually Charizard.
