Bulbasaur (フシギダネ Fushigidane) is a quadrupedal, reptile-like Grass/Poison-type Pokémon introduced in Pokémon Red and Blue. It has a large plant bulb on its back that grows by absorbing sunlight and stores nutrients as it develops. Calm, dependable, and resilient, Bulbasaur is well known as one of the original starter Pokémon and can use Grass-type moves such as Vine Whip.
