Baymax (ベイマックス) is an inflatable, marshmallow-like healthcare robot created by Tadashi Hamada to serve as a personal healthcare companion. In Big Hero 6, Tadashi's younger brother, Hiro Hamada, reactivates Baymax after Tadashi's death and upgrades the calm, literal-minded, and deeply compassionate robot with armor and flight capabilities to help protect the city of San Fransokyo.
